Groan, I did have a problem once though with the transition lenses when driving, apparently they don`t work when looking through windscreens, I only use them for driving and long distance.

I am the Director of Specsavers in Javea

We operate a 3 month no quibble guarantee in all of our stores, and in addition a guarantee on both lenses and frames.

In most cases it is very obvious if a lens has been scratched due to misuse, or has a faulty coating. The same with frames.

Anti-scratch lenses have a treatment, a hard coating, that makes them 80% less likely to scratch with normal day to day treatment - that is, ensuring there is no grit or dirt on the lens by using a spray or water to remove the particles before you clean them.

If there is any doubt about the cause of a defect,we will always decide in the customers favour and put the problem right with as minimal inconvenience to the customer as possible.

We deal with every case individually, and are totally committed to ensure that the customer is satisfied with the action we take to resolve any issues.

I am available either in person or over the telephone if you are unhappy in any way with either the product or service, and can be contacted directly on 965835367.

No, you don't offer anything of the kind OR decide in the customers favour. You sell frames which by your own staffs comments are not fit for use in this country. You fob people off with ridiculous claims. I heard it before I came to you, but didnt take the advice. Silly old me!

It's very difficult to answer your comments without the name and file, so as I said previously, I can look into your individual circumstances if you contact me.
As you know, I am sure, I cannot discuss your individual details online.

The store telephone number in Calpe is 965835367 and my mobile number if you would prefer is 618595762.

I cannot trace you through your expat name on this website. If you would like to resolve this issue, contact me.

Mike, it's been several years .... I'm getting ready now for another test and glasses.

I'm sure if you had been involved, something would have happened .... but your staff .. well ..... three times I think I took the glasses back because I knew they were wrong, and it was eventually the manager that realised they were set at the wrong angle and hadn't been fitted properly

Then after 8 months I noticed the colouring from the frames started to come off ... and the store assistant told me that it was sweat that caused it and there was nothing you would do. Apparently your metal frames aren't good when people sweat. Even though none of the frame actually touches the face anywhere.

Your store assistant suggested I should get some different frames when I came back next time, although she said she did realise that I probably wouldn't use you again anyway.

Shame really .... but you aren't going to do anything after all this time now are you. when they wouldn't do anything at the time

Anyway, enough said

Enough said Mitzy.
From what has been said on here and various reports I have heard myself, it seems that specsavers are crap, both regarding quality and after-sales service.
Whats more if they offered a no quibble guarantee as they claim, you'd have had your money back long ago.
Not to worry, once bitten twice shy.

What, you had them fitted? When I went to pick them up, I was handed the case and then she turned to the next customer. I asked if I should try them on and have them fitted but was told that 'they didn't do that any more'!!!!

I have since been back because they are loose but they simply aren't interested!

May be I should go somewhere else now as well.

Uuum? Quite a contrast from my experience with SS here in UK, three of our family have used them for years now, and I have to say from the girl on the desk to the optician's themselves, they have all been excellent, nothing is too much trouble. Problem is, it's a franchise, so I guess the service could differ from branch to branch, perhaps we are just lucky ith our local branch.
