A couple of months back I would have argued with you about this but my god over the last few days you are right. Some buildings are in a state but more than that it is the people. Camposol will one day become a Police State in Spain and that is due to the countless committees and moaners around here - committees I might add that have no legal standing but will cause you no end of trouble if you cross them. On Facebook it is now littered with complaints about children (I am so glad mine are grown up) and its not just local children they moan about it is holidaymakers too. They really dont want anyone round here having fun, unless of course it is something that they want.
They moan about families parking on Zebra crossings (sure no-one over 40 is doing it). They moan about kids playing football, ok so that can be dangerous but what about the people drinking all day and get into a car.
Camposol was a good place even with the building / legal issues but now the people are turning on each other I would advise anyone to stear well clear. Funny thing is that they complain about the TV show giving it a bad image when anyone on Facebook can see all these negative comments and arguments with even joining the friends - http://www.facebook.com/groups/227374827315388/
Roll on November.

Rubbish and you know it you D******* Stop trying to mess things up for Camposol just because you are leaving. If you are not happy thats okay but a lot of folk love it, seems you need to grow up.
Not everybody agrees on certain issues , I am sure this is the case on most urbanisations

What a s**f*sh person you are I can think of a worse name!

Ps Anyway What is wrong with folk not wanting planters and flowers ruined by kids playing football?? I'm sure if it was your garden/area, you wouldn't be happy either!!!!!!

One quote

"a lot of us have grown up kids now-have been there once and don't wish to go through it again"

Another which I assume is responding to a request for help to get a kids club going

"nobody has the right to tell me or other people who have worked hard to bring their own children up to get involved with finding something for their children. They are your responsibility not ours!"

And it seems that some of the comments have now been removed but I did do a copy before they were removed. There are many more Tabbycat and I will refrain from name calling even though it seems the thing to do round here now.

Tabbycats - you are entitled to your opinion but so is the other member.

Please don't rubbish other members posts just because you don't agree with them.

I'm sure you love Camposol but there is a reasonable probability on a development of that size that not everyone shares your opinion.

Cool it!

Funny thing is that the original playing area was to be near us but did not worry me in the slightest.

And actually I agree with you about the football thing but it seems that Camposol has turned incredibly anti-children over the past few days with probably one person trying to fight their corner. I feel sorry for the parents that are being labeled bad parents like the comment about the girls being followed by young men. I guess someone was assuming the girls were dressed like tarts or something.

Point taken "apologies" but some folk just love to spoil things for others and there is no need for it, just because they have had a bad experience

I am certainly not anti-children....its all about children being supervised in an area where people are dining and having a quiet drink....

My lips are sealed!

Very interesting comment, seems quite familiar would you not agree

This is rather an interesting one again

You so obviously want the last word (Name Removed), and don't appreciate the fact that a lot of us are past the age of happily being in the presence of noisy children playing sports around us when we are socialising. Been there, done that. May as well have them invade every aspect of our social lives while we're all trying to do doing something else. So you have the last word, as I'm sure you will, but I'm not adding any more on this subject.
It would seem that Camposol is a nice place to live but not for families nor the ideal spot for a holiday if children are involved. You can raise your children in the UK and they can be as noisy as you want but once in Spain or Camposol at least the general opinion (there are many more posts) is that children are not working.

To be honest when we have been to the centre we have seen children playing and even kicking a football around. Kicking a ball very silly I agree but running around playing, laughing evening shouting (kid type noise) it is no different to hearing the music or the loud voices or laughing from the patrons outside the bars.

The trouble is there are just no kids areas...the kids do need areas to play, however, the problem is, they (not all kids) football in the restaurant areas, this is bound to annoy people, who go for a quiet night out. I don't think folk object to laughing (I hope not) and playing....its the football-which I think is a fair enough objection.

My kids were small once...but they were supervised by us so they didn't annoy others.

Anyway I think enough has been said on this subject, its up to the council (I blame them ) to fulfil their promises....we can live in hope!
