lets just say the little area I live in is quite nice, full of some very nice people but most are of the older generation like myself

but nearby is an estate built for the council with over 5,000 people living in it

I have an innate problem - I am a wise monkey, look, see, hear. not all is evil. its just people. people who stick out. people I observe, I know I cannot teach them anything but I can learn.

and I have 64 years of experience to call on

you never know, some Spaniards may think I am The Neighbour from Hell.

I was on campasol Sector D 3 days ago. Was following a black Astra with google stickers all over it and a large 360 camera mounted on a tri pod. Sure it was google street maps mapping this area. Should go live when they finish

well something to look forward to - after all the editing and erasing faces and number plates and van signs should be available in about 2 years.

OK so who is going to monitor the 23,000 jobs they are shouting about??
IME we will be lucky to get half that.
Construction jobs will be transitory for the period of contract or much less as they will always be looking for someone cheaper to do the next phase, driving costs down and profits up. When eventually finished who knows how many permanant jobs there will be.
Sprat to catch a mackeral comes to mind.

Looks like good news, assuming no further hiccups!

http://condadodealhamaservices.com/b...-deal-is-done/

Doubt I'd visit it myself, but it must be good for that area? And visitors can then get on the fast AVE train link to the new casino complex in either Madrid or Barcelona.

oh dear, another project for the Spanish to start but never finish, if it isnt roads its footpaths, and of course housing projects.
There are so many started but not finished, builder gone bust almost before starting, gullible fools paid all their money and got a piece of paper but no house to live in.

Not a betting man but odds-on that in 5 years time there will be complaints here on BE.

Do you suppose that the 10 million that Jesus Samper paid for land, is his own money?
Not sure I'd risk it on a theme park like this, if I were in his boots. The EuroVegas plan in Madrid (assuming it gets approval) sounds a better bet.
