Right, I really hate to do this, but.........
The finished circuit has yet to be approved by both the FIA and FOCA. Although I am sure that it is just a formality, bear in mind that the circuit has never been driven on, and either organisation could pull the plug if they decide that it is not suitable.
I am pretty sure that it won't happen, and that the race will go ahead, especially after all of the money that Valencia is throwing at it, and the rows between the City and the other circuit at Cheste, where they also applied to hold the event.
So just a "heads up" really, it should be absolutely fantastic.
Regards
Tim

I know... really phenomenal!
But, I wanted to do something really special for hubs after I broke my spine last year and he´s been with me, quite literally, every step of the way as I have learnt to walk again.
Still not having much luck at the moment though getting the tickets... I guess there are a lot of people who want to go to Valencia as this is the first race there.

Ive been to a fair few MotoGP races all over Spain and Valencia is a great place, I think really a year too late myself, but look forwward to it

Tickets have not been released yet, most GP start from £70 - £110 for the basic pass some a bit more, Catalunya starts about £120 UKP so I would guess it would be on the Same level of priceing as that, bear in mind that £120 was cheaper with the early booking discount. I dont think you will have any problem getting tickets, just be patient and wait for them to be released. You can buy them Direct from the official F1 site (when released) as to not be ripped off by other agencies / websites.

Yes JDR, a tad steep!
I know that the intention is to produce another Monaco because of the street circuit setting, but it's only round the old docks for god's sake, hardy full of atmosphere, but at those prices, maybe they are hoping to recoup their investment for the first race!!

For the whole lot, practice days and race, and that included transport to and from the track.

At those sort of prices, they can keep it! If it was at Cheste, as was originally intended and sensible money, then I may have been tempted. As it is I'd rather spend the money flying back to the UK for the Goodwood Revival and see real cars having real races.

I agree on there they are expensive but I dont know what to compare them too, I only know F1 is expensive anyway, usually about £150 I reckon for anything decent, the prices the tickets in Spain sold today was for 195 to 480Eur, There is a Capacity for 112,000 people over 26 stands, so Im sure more tickets will come in time.

Im considering it myself now, maybe just being in the vicinity at the time, Looks top be a great time of year aswell

But they start at €275 !!! Won't be many locals going at that rate!
And hotel prices around that date have gone through the roof as well.
I know F1 is silly expensive now, I just feel that those prices are way over the top.

Evidently, according to A Valencia news service, 70%of ALL of the available tickets for the Grand Prix in Valencia in August were sold within 6 hours of going on sale yesterday! Of those sold, 40% were sold outside Spain and 30% within the country! The Organisers are now considering whether to try to make more tickets available.

I'm sure the race will go ahead and I for one will definitely be there if anyone else is there fancy a pint after?
I'll also be at the Monaco and SPA (yay the best track in f1 is back!) and hopefully make it to the Germany and UK race too if anyone is around!
BTW: If you're a real F1 'geek' then you must check out the mentioned www.formula1.com and make an account as you get access to all the live timings that the pits and presenters have! It actually makes following what is really going on much easier than listening to the TV presenters waffling on!
www.itv-f1.com has also started streaming practice days too!
