Default F1 thread.

Yeah I know it should be in the Locker room, but it will just get swamped by twats and I know at least one other person is interested in it on here.

Canadian about to start in a bit, and Hamilton is on Pole, 22 years old and he is spectacular.

They wouldnt dare, he spoke out after the last race, he wont keep shut this time.

Alonso has said that if LH is in front of him 10-15 laps left he wont force a situation, he said it was only fair since Hamilton did it for him in Monaco.

I hope he does win, I just have to pretend its not a Mclaren.

Spectacular is an exaggeration for someone yet to owin a race and has only gained his first pole yesterday. I agree - he is an extremely promising talent. But I hate the English media. Alonso has been the only person in a decade to properly challenge Schumacher. To see how good a driver is, look at where his second driver is - the true strength of the car is with the weaker driver. Schumi suffered this when Ferrari were behind the pace but still he was consistently finishing four or five places above his team-mate. Alonso with Fisichella at Renault was the same - if the cars are so great then why was Fisi unable to keep up? The sign of a good, masterful driver. Alonso is the best in F1 at the moment and Hamilton has a lot to learn. If he loses just a bit of the arrogance, he might just learn something from Fernan.

Another duped by the English Press - Jackie Stewart, David Coulthard and the FIA have all agreed that McLaren did the correct thing. Nothing but sour grapes aout desperately wanting something Englsih to shout about. Why not cheer for the most talented????

You clearly didn't read that in any other press except UK ones. Who cares if he opens his mouth???? Let him. I doubt that Alonso said "it's only fair" as the only ones who moaned were the press which sparked public outrage even though most didn't understand and F1 insiders didnt know what the fuss was about.

Did you know that Hamilton has been warned by Race officials in Montreal about his aggressive tactics? Maybe that one missed th UK papers

McLaren should dump Hamilton if he continues to moan. If he's as good as he thinks he is, then he'll have no problem getting a car. Team first ALWAYS. Ego has no part.

I find him spectacular, his energy and innocence, the love and calmness he portrays is a refreshing change from the grumpy, moody miserable barstewards that inhabit F1.

and as someone who has pretty close connections to F1 through friends who are mechanics, Alonso, while a brilliant driver is an arse, he was hated by his old pit crew and they even held a party when he left, and he wasn't invited.

No one has ever got pole after just 5 races, he has been on the podium 5 times. That warrants respect.

Ego? Hamilton? Alonso has the biggest ego going.

No, I just sat on my sofa and watched Alonso say that he would back off because he recognised that Lewis did the same for him.

Why the aggression? Do you have an issue with Lewis aside from the fact that he is 22 and good?
What bugs you about him eh?

His Godfather has steered him well. How many rookies get catapulted into the main car???? But yes, he has achieved five podiums and that is good, whatever the circumstances of getting there

The circumstance is that he was faster than his peers, thats it.

He is not the first driver to have a pushy family member
