does anyone know where i can buy high density foam or stuffing for cushions, I have some outdoor furniture that needs extra padding and dont want to have to buy new cushions, rather save the money and go out for a nice meal, Faz Gostos maybe now the exchange rate is climbing......:D

There are a number of furniture manufacturers in Pilas, half wayish between Sevilla and Ayamonte. We had new cushions made up to plan for yacht and also garden furniture. They have just about everything you could want in terms of soft furnishings. Check out http://www.dicosur.com/ which is the one we used. Boss lady speaks French first, then Spanish and a little English too. Very helpful and much cheaper than the quotes we had from shops in Sevilla centre.

If anyone is around next week and would like to play a round of golf, please PM me. Be great to meet up with a "name" from the thread.

Bryan,

100% certain you can't use your your UK card in a different box in Spain. The card has to registered to the box, I know because my box packed up and when I bought a replacement I had to telephone Sky to give them the serial number for the new box.

Wow what a great day you had with the 'usual suspects' ...
Jon

Hey, I've never been a suspect in any crime, convicted once or twice but that's another story...

The day trip on the launch was great, highly recomended. Yeah, if Tony's 41 I'm 21, whatever....

Sorry I haven't been in touch Jon, glad to hear you are missing Esuri and Spain, I keep telling you to move out here, regards to Cathy.

I am thinking of organising Christmas Eve and New Years Eve bashes, buffet and drinks type of thing, will keep you informed when I have something sorted. Trying to get a deal with a local taxi firm so people can get back to Esuri/Canela or wherever.

Paco,

Thank you for your kind words. Getting the Spanish to try Indian food and they discovering that they like it, is probably the most satisfying part of the job.

See you next time, maybe my Spanish will be as good as your English by then!

Saludos

Jag

Did you make the call from Spain on a landline?

I think you will find that who ever is installing your equipment will have a contact in the UK ,who will do any registering that may be required.

Buy a second box in the UK from e-bay, register the card to the box, tell them it's a spare, then bring both out with you.
As long as you have a dish big enough, there will be no problem.

Thanks that’s a good idea. I have a box in Spain already with free view. Can I register my UK card to that box?

Has anyone actually booked their leccy connection yet. Our solicitors tell us that Endesa are still waiting for "something" from Fedesa before they can take the applications for the connection?

I hear the generators have gone on Rago 1, and that main supply is all connected up and running.

We are told we will still have 15 days from the date they are excepting applications, before they cut any off.

Anybody know anything more or anything different:confused:
