Re: COSTA ESURI - AYAMONTE
Can anyone recommend some good restuarants in our area or even in portugal as we are coming out in August . We have two early teen children and would like a little variety (not too dear). We like most foods but recommendations are always better!

For the teenagers you must try the MARS Bar at Manta Rota. For a special meal birthday, anniversary the restaurant above the beach at Praia Verde Restaurant Panoramico. For a lunch Snack Bar Campesino Monte Francisco just over the bridge. All in Portugal about 20 mins. For the best Pizza in town the San Remo at Isla Canela beach (not the Marina), El Chiringuito de Antonoi IV at Isla Canela Marina for seafood and rice again about 20 mins. Also at the Marina The Outback Inn for kangaroo steaks

Have to give the restaurant at Monte Rei (golf course) a mention. Bryony and I went there for our Anniversary and her Birthday treat just over a week ago. V. posh were greeted in the carpark and escorted to the dinning room. Stunning views from every window. Footrest under the tables for the ladies and excellent service. Had the taster menu (best food we've probably had anywhere) and also meet the chef, Jaimee Perez,at the end of the meal. Not somewhere you'd go every week but well worth it for a special treat.

Re: COSTA ESURI - AYAMONTE
Guys,
Also try Casa Joaquin (alias "El Cholesterol") - a no-frills, cheap and absolutely superb local Spanish restuarant in Pozo del Camino (on the way to Isla Cristina) that specializes in roasts and grilled meats. They don't serve fish or white wine, but you must try their house speciality which is boiled/baked potatoes served with a gorgeous oil - excellent as a starter with salad. Yes, Mars Bar in Manta Rota is excellent - as others have said, definitely the best ribs in the world, and the garlic sauce that comes with the salad is yum, yum !! Regards
