As others have said religions were used as an excuse to gain power, closer to home the Portuguese invaded the west coast of India and took over the area now the state of Goa in 1500s, forced conversions burning of Hindu libraries, books etc. as always! Worse when Francis Xavier introduced the Inquisition. Many Christians as well as Hindus fled when he came!!
OH's community having fled to there from Kashmir when Muslims came then fled from the Christian Portuguese, they settled in surrounding areas. it wasn't reclaimed until 1961, although for some years travel to the old temples had been allowed.
But that is all in the past except for regret at the loss of historical documents etc. no ill will is felt towards the Portuguese or Christians (they fled also from the cruelty) not exactly what Jesus had in mind was it?????

history is what we should base our current attitudes on having learnt from it - but as we know, some find it difficult to accept what happened yesterday or look at things with a view to the larger picture.
Although we should remember that History is Written by the Victor.

Problem is RM everyone has you well sussed out by now and you're totally wasting your time and effort.
Do you not think it's way past time you began basing your replies on comments the OPs actually posted, rather than making them as you go along to desperately try and give yourself a leg to stand on ?

I don't believe you are under any particular obligation to continue to contribute to something that obviously doesn't meet with your approval, so why continue to frustrate yourself so, when I am sure that there are countless other threads that equate with your point of view ?

Obviously we are not up to date with the new protocol.
There seems to be a time limit to replying to posts, as seen in another thread where a poster had a virtual tantrum after a 2 hour wait and not getting a reply.
Now it seems that there is an optimum-maximum thread length for certain topics.
