Sorry! I know it´s off topic but you have to be joking!
People get paid 50k plus for something about as complicated as driving a dodgem car at the fair ground!
Granted there are traffic lights to contend with and I´m sure there´s a train heater switch somewhere! That simply can´t be true!???

why do you think so many of the drivers live way way outside London and commute in by car and train for their shifts.

and yet they are pulling in far more than many of their passengers, despite the so called higher wages and London Weighting.
IIRC they get paid more than a railway express driver - but that was some years ago.

thank you for that admission
probably, but school curriculum is vastly different to that when I was there
see above
what - like Runcorn or Sleaford?
joking aside, I understand it is a hard job nowadays being a teacher - they don't even report bullying any more, its the paperwork you know!
highly unlikely, if the parents don't why should expats be taught about the heritage they/parents have left behind
believe it or not parents should take an interest in their kids and fill in the gaps they cause in the individual's knowledge
oh yes, also called "profit time"

and you have left out religion, when at secondary school the RC's and "others" all had to leave the room whilst we learnt about the King James version.
enjoy

And the lunch breaks! Next thing they'll be queuing up for a public sector job. Mind you it's a long queue so I've heard.
Reported today is that low productivity may hamper Britains recovery.
Blimey, who would have thought that
Here's an idea, Bob Crow could become a Business Efficiency advisor to the government.

Moaning about a group of workers who are paid 50k.
If one group of managers no matter of their skills, get for arguments sake....
200k pa and another group get 350k.Its called the free market, suddenly a group of
NORMAL WORKERS wages come into question because of 50k....weird.
I am a qualified toolmaker and m/c builder, but I changed tact and went into IT, as a Network telco technician, money was far better...That was not because one job, deserved to earn more than the other, it was and is due to free market demands.
What a cheek and actually discriminating, when pre judging the attributes or capabilties needed to do any particular job. That tw&t on QT and some people
on here show the snobbish attitude and land-owner arrogance to the different and
various needs required to carry out ones employment.Especially in an enviroment
where some people demand that you should be forced into taking any type of work,
when unemployed.....one rule for you, another for me attitude...
BULLSHIT you people BULLSHIT....!!!!!!!

Exactly! Bullshit you! What are you? A ****ing idiot? Clearly based on your response that's exactly what you are!

You would see what my employment area was.
Just because you and I studied doesnt give us right to dictate wages, and to describe
myself a better candidate for employer of the month, because of my qualifications.
Whether its crap or not, if you want to earn that much, simple become a train driver.
Methinks you always wanted a trainset and your mama and papa brought you a chemistry set instead, and I bet you just use love 'Thomas the tank engine'
I know alot of floor and stock traders in the different stockmarkets, around the world some havent ever had qualifications.Make you cry if you knew what they earn...
Playing devils advocat....A train driver says..'I only press pedals and a few knobs, look at a few pretty lights, and stop and start when told..If it aint for me, your cant commute to work from a nice home and earn your 100k salaries without me.'.
Personally thats why I wanted to be like Jesse James, I could hold up the train and rob
everbody......I bet you think Jesse is now driving the train..

I remember the days when folk were thankful for small mercies.
Blimey, when I was a student I had a part time job as a bog cleaner. Did I moan? Not on your Nelly. Just wish they'd given me a brush.
As for the tube staff, good on 'em. Who wants automation anyway? Makes me mad how some people are exploited.
Went on a coach the other day. Couldn't believe it - the driver had to take my ticket (which I'd printed off), load my bags and then to cap it all he had to drive the bleedin' coach. Not only that he had to unload my bags at the other end.
Bet he wouldn't have to do all that if he had a Union behind him. Mind you, I suppose he might not have a job - always a downside I guess.

Al-Madinah Derby free faith school a shambles but I can sort it out, says new chief Barry Day
THE full details of the shambles that controversial Muslim school Al-Madinah had become have been revealed as ministers announced its secondary section is to be axed.
Its disarray was detailed by an education expert brought in to make a success of the remaining Al-Madinah primary school, which has been spared.
Barry Day said he had not been able to uncover a reliable record of the school roll and had to "count heads" to see how many secondary pupils it had.
He said: "It's a similar situation for staff. So many have come and gone, it's difficult to work out who works here and who is being paid what and what contracts exist."

This governments education policy is a farce, the problems at this school and others that have been closed ( not muslim ) are prime examples.
