Must be a sure thing - you know with a Lhasa Apso you'll always have something T' bet on. He'll be no John Terryer of course. I hope the house training is quick - don't want Diarra or Pizarro indoors.

Yours, Despondent Spurs fan.

I have been told Fedesa are to stop building the planned 4000 units, because they can't sell the 800 already released. This is from a very reliable Spanish source. who knows directors inside. This however might be common knowledge however, but I have been away sometime so if old news i am sorry.

Hi Carol&John,

Going from memory and not wanting to go hunting for info at this time of night, I think it was 6000 units of accommodation and 900 plots. I think that included all developers except for Tassa who sought separate planning approval. I understood that all the plots had been sold bar 6 but of course very few have been completed so very few individual starts have been made and I suppose that due to the late handovers the purchasers could withdraw with no penalty.

Again going from memory I think all the areas that Fadesa were to develop themselves have been started. But if sales are slow they could always mothball areas where the shell is complete without finishing the internals. I heard that sales were slow on what we old timers know as Pueblo Andaluce and that new units were available at less than the cost of resales, but who knows the truth of all the rumours.

Fadesa have certainly ditched the idea of 2x 4* and 1x 5* hotels in favour of 1x 4* and two apart hotels but I have not seen a start on either of those.

Regards,

John.

Hi again,
Thanks for that recap, John&Kath! Pueblo Andaluz (aka Marina Esuri) does not have the advantage of lifts, but I need the exercise...
SLR, if by houses (casas) you meant apartments, duplexes, and/or townhouses - but not hotel rooms (ie. units) - then I can only guess that these might be further north on CE? (Not sure, really.) I can understand what John was describing re: building shells, however.
Regards,
Carol

Hi Tony,

Or a period of stagnation with uncompleted areas being seen all over the site which won't do any favours for rental or re-sales.

Having thought more about the post that sparked this particular discussion I wonder if the 4000 "units"refers to the Apart-Hotels which might be about that size and would reflect the "only 800 sold" comment,

Although that is not good they are up at the back of the site and do not intrude in to the main developed areas but as Tasa comes on stream they might not be to pleased.

Regards,

John.
