I have made that provision a condition of me keeping the service also that they should transfer my landline number and match the 300 free minutes to UK given by Iberbanda. There current offer elsewhere is transfer the number and 1000 free minutes in main land Spain but they need time to set these things up in Huelva Province.
So far Jorge has come up with the goods if a trifle slower than he suggested but I am prepared to wait since we need the competition here oen Esuri to push the incumbents to better standards and lower prices whether it is BB or restaurants or golf.

Does anyone know of a similar system to Priinet, based in Portugal please? Where we are (up in Vistas Del Guadiana), we seem to be out of reach of Spanish phone mast but can pick up Portuguese vodafone/P Optimus signals across the river. Thanks.

We are in Las Colinas and have a similar problem with the phone: we only ever pick up the Portuguese signal. I never know what time it is unless I set the phone to Central European time. But Priinet have a repeater on one of the blocks at Las Colinas and we get an excellent signal. So just because you can't get a Spanish phone signal it doesn't mean you won't get a good Internet signal. If you ask they will be able to tell you whether you would get a good signal.

Jon I have seen the future Jamie and we have done a house swop. I am in his apartment and he is in the Casa. I have BT fibre optic BB 30mgb up and 54mgb down I have seen the future even if I used the wrong speed test. Jamie has 5.8mgb with Priinet with the right speed test.
The speedtest they use - that I think is not suited for us is
Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test (and the one Tommy suggested above. Another of his jokes?
http://britishexpats.com/forum/siest.../#post11392544 )The one that I feel is best (and proved to be so during the pre-upgrade problems they had) is TestMy.net Broadband Internet Speed Test
Its best as it actually delivers packs of data, getting bigger each time and measures the actual time taken... it takes a little more time - but clearly showed up the problems Priinet had before the upgrades. Their test hid the problems and the result was streaming TV was not possible in reality.
Its great to hear that streaming TV is possible all over - thanks speerchucker... and again to Shirley and Anthony Hide for doing the 'multi test'.. posts 108/116.
Looking good! It is easily the best internet option for us personally... and some good news over the past year for CE.
Thanks
Jon
PS re the telephone line subscription till they have a financially justifiable product, I find that Skype to landlines works fine and is cheap... (and you can auto upgrade your credit to ensure you never run out) an hour on the phone internationally is around an euro.. and after the Priinet upgrades Skype was crystal clear.

I have priinet 25mb wifi. Just done the ookla test: download of 11.25Mbps and 2.8 upload for PC. Smart TV was about half this speed. Then on TestMy.net: PC 2.6 down 1.6 up and TV was 2.7 down and 1.6 up. Will repeat around 6pm.

These results seem very variable. I have just run the test 3 times for the tv and for the pc. I got: 2.2, 2.4 & 2.5 download for tv. 1.4, .775 & 1.6 upload for the tv. 2.6, 2.7 & 2.9 download for the pc. 1.4, 1.0 & 1.3 upload for the pc.
I think that's acceptable (even though I'm paying for the 10 Mb option).
Comments anyone?

Based on previous posts (108) where an HD stream was being watched - at the same time as iplayer and there was still 'room' / bandwidth, it looks like we have a decent enough internet. Im not sure of the maths involved for full HD streaming though.
Like you I got the 10mb option, to give me the'cover' and for 5 Eur a month extra that is fine.
I agree that this is acceptable, and very pleased that we have this option.
Thanks
Jon

Hi John.
We have an apartment on Vista Esuri ,and I have sent two e-mails to Priinet. One to Jorge direct ,and one to there web site.I have not had a reply from them. The first e-mail was sent over two weeks ago.I am in Esuri for another four weeks ,and was hoping to have had the internet problem sorted out.Reading the last post people were saying how good their service was,but a little disappointed no one has been in contact.
Are you in contact with them??
Thanks and regards Harry.
