That depends. You have to look at the deadline....Fecha de Limite....which will be somewhere on the recibo. Sometimes 30 days, sometimes only about a week or so.

Cancelling the direct debit with you bank, UK style, doesnt necessarily ensure that future payments will not be taken.

However, if a payment is taken you have the power to take the recibo to the bank (providing it is still within the fecha de limite) and get it cancelled.
