Default Current Processing Times

DIMA have finally started advertising the allocation to case officer times. As a service to new applicants it occurs to me that we could set up a thread serviced by people receiving acknowledgements (please note that Regions are no longer relevant to allocation dates).

This is what we got today (apologies for the formatting)

The Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre is assessing applications lodged on or before the following dates:

Type of Application Priority applications Non-Priority
__________________________________________________ ____________
Onshore (paper based) 20 February 2006 20 February 2006
Onshore e-lodged (online) 23 February 2006 20 February 2006
SIR (paper) 14 March 2006
SIR e-lodged (online) 30 April 2006

Offshore (paper based) 18 December 2005 14 September 2005 to
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to 29 December 2005 30 September 2005

Additionally, this information is going to be updated weekly and will be available by sending a blank e-mail to: [email protected]

This is an automated service providing processing information only - all other enquiries should be directed to [email protected] or the particular case officer.

I think they're doing it to get people off their backs.
You can't blame them. If they put that they are looking into Feb apps....then I would certainly be emailing them to find out if I had a CO or not.

Looks to me very much worst case scenario dates - at least half of the 136 MODL's from Jan have a visa grant now & quite a few Febs have a CO...

On the subject of 'worst case scenario' (but also totally off the track of immigration)...does anyone know when/where this phrase was coined?

It seems more commonplace in the last decade than from what i can remember previous l

Obiwan, cheer up:-)

I think these timelines are "worst scenarios". You see people applying in February or March getting their visas now...

Good luck!

Yeah but that still makes the times stated very pessimistic. Priority (MODL) are stated as January but people are getting case officers even in the march group.

Out of interest folks, am I reading this right?

Does this also tell us that SIR - e-lodged (online) applications appear
to be processed over a month earlier then the paper based version?
