Hi there.
Does anyone know what has happened with processing of SIR visas? It seems that for the past couple of months there has been no progress at all for paper lodged, and just one day's progress for e-lodged SIR applications. Meanwhile, other categories have slowly moved forward.
If anyone is in the know about this, it would be good to hear since the anniversary of our medicals creeps ever closer, and we still don't have a case officer.
cheers,
Ian

I noticed progress seemed a bit slow, perhaps there will be more progress this week.

Good luck and I hope you hear this week Ian.

Hi

I know nothing more than the visa allowances start in July so maybe there are some they are trying to use in last years allowances, or some hold up with the allowances, I am pretty sure they are pushing 139's through as they are changing so in your comparisons I would make sure that you are not comparing with them. I am just an indidual and dont work in emigration so this is just opinion.

I am a bit confused, can somebody please put my mind at rest.

We applied for our visa back in September 2005 for South Australia and had our medicals & Police checks completed in April. But we have not heard anything since. Our next step will be the $100k payment.

Should we not have heard something by now? My Agent has been of little help.

Did you complete your PCC's and medicals unrequested? In other words, have you not heard anything form DIMA since you applied in September?
If that is the case... Phone them!

We were asked to take our medicals and PCC's which we completed in April, I am just thinking it is taking a very long time for the next step. Maybe we are just panicking over nothing.

Actually, it is good for you. This means that all applications received priority prior to March 1, 2006 should have been allocated a case officer. You may not hear from him/her until your visa grant if you have frontloaded with all information. Relax. It shouldn't be long now.

Thanks Dorothy,

Hopefully you're right. I'm not really panicking.,...just can't stand all of this waiting (as I'm sure u recall!!!!!!!). I didn't fill out form 1022 but filled out a different one called form 9xx (can't rememebr the exact number)..but it was one for address changes only.

Is it compulsory to fill out 1022?
