Re: I thought I saw 'Jessica' in Goodlet St, Surry Hills, today???

I prefer 'Pam.', being of more mature 'centuries.'

Re: I thought I saw 'Jessica' in Goodlet St, Surry Hills, today???

Re: Occupy Brisbane

Yes I did not go out until 11pm, admittedly in 'the sin city of the South Pacific' and left at 2am. Pubs are 24X7 in Sydney. Aren't they the same in Brisbane?

That's the second time in week too - the first time was in Elizabeth Street - but it CAN'T be her can it, not during the day anyway?

Re: Patak's sauces - Are they REALLY made in the UK? - My curry still tastes inferior

Thanks for the ingredients - which I've just made a note of - but what about the recipe? In very simple terms too - as in 'turn knob on cooker to 3 o clock.'

Re: Are they for real?

Tell us the bloody answer - can't be bothered to look at Youtube. And explain it to me too.

Is this all about the Jock in a cave who saw a spider building a web or the Pommie one who had an apple...

Re: Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich - Anyone like them? Remember them even!?

I remember once our form teacher asked us what our favourite group was and I followed every other boy and girl in the class and answered 'The Monkees' although it was really 'The Fab Four!'

Abject...

She's arrived! I hope you were all standing for 'God Save The Queen?'

I don't know what has come over me? I'd usually be on my way to the beach but here I am glued to the TV. It's on all the news channels too.

It was wonderful and gratifying to see how Prince...

Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich - Anyone like them? Remember them even!?

I've always had a soft spot for them as I come from The New Forest. They came (come?) from Salisbury so, along with The Troggs from Andover, they were the closest we had to local stars.

I just dug...

Re: Where to get rid of rubbish

Take it out, one bag at a time, a bit like that Johnny Cash song - about how he built a car? - Put them into litter bins or the ones at truck stops on the motorway.

There used to be a big tip...

Re: Sydney or Brisbane. I have to decide tonight!!

I LOVE skimming stones myself, usually at the eastern end of 7/- (Seven Shillings!) Beach after my swim at Redleaf at the western end. I wish I could perfect the 'art.' Sometimes, I pick up the most...

Re: Patak's sauces - Are they REALLY made in the UK? - My curry still tastes inferior

That's interesting too. I've learnt a few things from this 'title.' I've got a jar of Patak's Curry Paste which I've not actually used yet. All I did was to throw jar of Curry sauce over my chicken,...

Re: Its been said here before but Dont trust the pics on RE rental property

Looking at it from an owner's point of view, why make something nice when you know the people who rent it are not going to be nice to it?

Re: Pubs in Perth

If Perth is anything like Sydney, then once you leave the inner city, where there are loads of pubs and bars - and move out into the 'burbs, you usually get one hotel or tavern per suburb?

Whilst...

Re: sydney or melbourne ?

Then again, if you live out in the 'burbs, you won't have much time to go to the beach.

Re: Is Melbourne Really This Bad?

If I could be bothered to 'emigrate' again, I'd have no problem moving from Sydney to Melbourne.

I stopped for a coffee in Elwood a couple of years ago and knew instantly that this was a place I...

Re: Sydney or Brisbane. I have to decide tonight!!

I couldn't sleep last night thinking about it and got up 'early' today to check my computer before breakfast. Now that I know the answer i can go back to bed.

No, Dave, NO! You will NOT go to back...

Re: Sydney or Brisbane. I have to decide tonight!!

Sorry, you've answered my '?' on this reply - did not see it. I don't know about the 'extortionate, unrealistically priced property' because I've always lived here. I have always thought that Sydney...

Re: Muslims in Texas

I LIKE seeing a reference to 'trolls'; it reminds me of walking over a bridge in the bush near my brother's house in Picnic Point, with my niece & nephew and clumping my feet. 'WHO"S THAT WALKING...
