Re: Schools in Florida for autism child

The odds for the Irish seemed really high back in the 80s and 90s. All my cousins except one, so that is nine of them, were successful in the DV lottery. Their parents entered them at some point when...

Re: TB Skin Test

Yes this happened to me - I just got an x-ray later that day and it delayed the medical results by 3 days. The doctor says happens to a lot of Europeans who have been vaccinated.

It was in 2007 so cant remember exactly but a few questions about my role and the type of work I do. Fortunately they didn't ask me how long I'd worked for the company as it was only day3!
They...

Re: Your opinion please.

You might look at the Cayman Islands, some positions are available to non islanders, most require a degree and qualifications. I lived there happily for several years.

Re: Once L1A visa is cancelled, how long can I stay in US?

You can apply for a B-2 (not switch), may take a few months to be approved/denied and the cost is around $370. Don't see the point if you have 60 days grace period anyway.

Re: On an L1-B, another company wants me ...

I had no option but to leave my boyfriend in the house that we had just designed, built, furnished and even got the dog, as he was not a USC and a H-4 just wouldn't have cut it as I had to work. ...

Re: On an L1-B, another company wants me ...

You can't switch but you can apply for a H-1B. Hurry up and start the ball rolling on that so you can get it in for the April 1 date.
If are not successful in the lottery for H-1B, then go back to...

Re: Are Fidelity closing non-resident accounts

I should have added a disclaimer - I don't work for Fidelity and have no idea about the internal policies of other investment type entities. I work primarily in private equity. I was addressing the...

Re: Are Fidelity closing non-resident accounts

I'm going through this exercise for all the clients I work with. W-8-BENs expire on Dec 31 three years after signature - we're not closing accounts, just keeping them compliant. Also W8-BENs, both...

Let me tell you about an O-plan.

This year we paid $1200 a month for a silver plan. Next year same plan - $1800.

Only used the damn thing for annuals.

Re: Seeking work

Temp agencies, hotels, restaurants, shops. I don't think there is a best place, just lots of places. The Friday papers always used to have lots of positions vacant. Have you got your resume ready?
