I don't think many expats consider our children when they reach adulthood...we only think of the immediate future.

For instance...if my daughter has a child and then longs to go back to the UK but...

I think of each US state as an EU country...so yes that makes sense.

I agree.

On the other hand I think as you get older there is a pull towards your roots...to something that is very comfortable and familiar. I bet many Americans living in the UK think the same.

I bet many people living here wished they were given 90 days notice and only had to worry about not been able to vacation in Europe.
