Congrats on getting grant btw... It seems that DIAC has received the long overdue bundle of files from that external agency :)... that may be why at least 4 Pakistani applicants have got PR in last 3...

he meant the nec people not on CSL... there are many.... and as per the given guidelines if they have not been assigned case officers, they will be considered as priority group 4...

Are you sure that you have to show experience related to Electrical Engineer?
I think you don't have to...

You cannot get skills assessment for one occupation and apply for PR as another occupation for which you don't have skills assessment....When you apply for PR, you have to nominate an occupation......

Just realized that RSMS was also already in higher priority than CSL applicants... so no affect at all for you at the moment... only real affect will be when...

Yes..... all applications that have not been finalized including those in final stages will be affected with the new priority directions.

No he/she will not... only because 233999 and 2129-79 both are not in new SOL (schedule 3) .... so in this case... you both will fall into priority group 4 unless either of you have any other...

You will definitely have priority over those 219 occupations that are not on SOL anymore... when you were told about 2012 wait, they must (in my opinion) have considered all occupations before...

Are you sure about this? Any official link etc? To me it seems unfair that lets say a Chemical Engineer (with ASCO code) who applied in 2009 has to withdraw and apply again as a Chemical Engineer...

Just noticed one thing........

State sponsorship does not qualify you for Priority processing 2 unless your nominated occupation is on SMP which has not been announced yet by many states......

Logically they should do it automatically if its a straight forward mapping, but some occupations may not be mapped directly... so those people may need to get new codes by respective skill...
