I have no confirmations but a little idea so recheck as well. You might be on Priority 4 now, also 3 is possible if your occupation is now on schedule 3.

They are dealt with completely separately. Processed either in various High Commissions offshore, or in different areas of DIAC onshore. You can safely ignore all the discussions on processing priorities

Hello everyone

I'm wondering whether I belong to priority group 3 or not .

I applied in 2008 Visa 175 (MODL) Motor Mechanic (Asco code 4211-11)
now my occupation is also on the new SOL (ANZCO CODE 321211)

Do I qualify to the group 3 ???
Is it possible to get my visa before 2011-2012 ???

I'm totaly exhausted from living on hold.
All this immigration process seams to be a nightmare
can't live like that anymore... I missed so many business opportunities because I'm being told that my visa is just around the corner...

please guys give me some advice

good luck my friends
wish you all the best with your applications.
bye

Guys, the processing times you've posted are all outdated. The page is subject to be updated soon as communicated in the recent announcements.
Atm nobody knows how long a visa will take to be processes. Certainly it will be much faster for priority 1-3 but nobody knows what will change for priority 4.

Your mapped occupation is on the new SOL, so you are in priority 3 group.

I'm a Jan 2008 applicant, neither on MODL nor CSL. Fortunately I'm on SOL schedule 3. Does this mean I'll be processed under priority 3 as per the new priorities ?

cheers

Thanks Adeel. I applied with old ASCO codes. For the transition arrangement between ASCO - ANZSCO, do I need to apply or file some kind of application or it will be automatically considered under the new ANZSCO codes?

Logically they should do it automatically if its a straight forward mapping, but some occupations may not be mapped directly... so those people may need to get new codes by respective skill assessment agencies... but hey thats all just my thinking.... no fact nothing....

Just noticed one thing........

State sponsorship does not qualify you for Priority processing 2 unless your nominated occupation is on SMP which has not been announced yet by many states......
