Re: first week

I agree. I work on a BHP site as well and it has actually restored my faith in Aussie sparks after working in the city to a third world standard for 3 years.

Yeah it does. I just assumed the op is from republic of ireland. Otherwise he probably would've said he was from the uk or northern ireland.

Re: Mandurah or Bunbury?

I'm still kind of leaning towards Bunbury due to the fact that there is more work there. I have no interest in residential work and there doesn't seem to be much else around Mandurah.
We've also...

Re: are they changing age limit for working holiday visa

Most of these trades only require a licence if you are self employed. most people on whv's aren't self employed. Lineworkers, refridgeration and aircon are covered under electrical licences.

Re: are they changing age limit for working holiday visa

Ok then name another trade that requires a licence. I'm an electrician in Australia by the way and know people that work in pretty much every other trade here. I'm not the one giving misleading info.

Re: are they changing age limit for working holiday visa

There are really only 2 trades over here that require a licence. That is electricians and plumbers. Every other trade just requires a blue card and off they go.
