Re: Floor Layer Information Needed Please Australia

My hubby is a floor layer in Victoria. There is no formal certificate required to work for most shops as a sub contractor. And he's never been short of decent paying work since we arrived. Hope...

Re: Best time to book flights for January

That's a good point. Most of our flights go through London but if it is cheaper to fly from there to Edinburgh or Aberdeen rather than Glasgow then we could consider that. I think driving from...

Re: Best time to book flights for January

Briliant advice, thankyou! I have discussed with DH stopping over in Asia for a few days but it feels like a lot of work with 4 kids, we might reconsider though. I'll keep an eye on prices over the...

Re: advice for keeping sane please

I try and make the room for the visitor(s) as comfortable as possible, with things like a chair (or sofa) as well as a bed and access to a computer, TV, DVD's, books so that they can retreat to their...

Re: Midwifery

You don't need any qualifications to study midwifery here. You have to sit a STAT test which is a multiple choice english/maths/logic exam and use the results of that as your entry grade. If you...

Re: looking to get a graduate midwifery positon

It's quite hard to get your foot in the door to the public hospital in Geelong unless you train here (so I am told) but you might have a good chance if you come over on a skilled visa, rather than a...

Re: citizenship revocation

I would imagine the words "serious offence" are of importance here. In Australia, pre marital sex is not a crime, never mind a serious one. Of more importance, is she currently in Australia and...

Re: How can you watch UK TV on your computer for Free in Australia?

no you have to download a torrent player like utorrent
then you can go into piratenet and search for the programme you want, which will download into utorrent and from there you can watch it.

Re: Any families in Australia living on combined gross income of less than $100,000 a

30 years is the standard mortgage length now in Australia, in the same way that 25 was in the UK. For our latest remortgage I wanted to reduce the term but our particular lender did not offer that,...

Re: Midwifery

As PP's have said, you are eligible for lower fees which can be deferred once you are a citizen. To apply for uni you usually (although it may change state to state) have to sit a STAT test which is...

Re: Melbourne to Geelong
