All spanish insurance (House, health, car etc) seems to require 2 months written notice to cancel. Like many others we didn't know this when we first arrived here. Our car insurance was pretty steep...

Ok so our Canal + dish would be useless as it is quite small. So as we don't particularly want UK tv a normal ariel + some kind of spanish freeview box should give us some TV in english.

Yes it is too much and doesn't even include football or the new cinema channels (both of these are extra). It was only around 40 euros 5 years ago but just keeps getting more expensive.

Yes but how does that really work. OK Starbucks is reasonably easy because if you go to one of their UK outlets and buy a coffee you expect the profit made from that coffee to be reported in the UK...

Ok thats all true but the DPA covers information that has been recorded on a computer database. You could still be privy to information that has only been passed by word of mouth or on bits of paper....

I imagine the incentive is that the corporation tax is cheaper. The product is all shipped from the UK. They've stopped shipping to europe from the UK website. Presumably to make sure all non UK...

Sorry I should have picked up on this a few days ago. In fact there are a lot of jobs where discussing information outside of work, even with a spouse could lead to disciplinary action or dismissal....
