If you don't want a phone line, then the only way would be to get cable broadband... this is delivered over the cable used to deliver cable TV.

If you get cable broadband you then have the option...

put a hair dryer on it before you start to peel it off... its a sticker with glue on it so if you heat it up the glue becomes softer and will most likely come off with the sticker... if there is any...

Thanks for that, we are aware of it and they have made it a condition of employment that we take out health insurance ourselves, which we are happy to do.

Thanks people... for us a family of 2 adults in thier 30's and 2 kids under 8 yo $400 per month appears to be the mark.

We have had quotes from both HCF and HBA (Bupa) and they had a specific...

We are heading to Perth at the beginning of July on a 457. Does anyone know if all insurance companies will only offer one product to 457 migrants. We seem to be being quoted a much higher amount...

You are absolutely correct as I have just put in the 5833 as a weekly figure (that would be nice :thumbsup:) and it gives a figure of 3500....

There is a test that you can do on the ATO site which determins if you are resident for tax purposes or not.

If like us you are on a temp 457 Visa, we are classed as resident for tax purposes...

Passport doesn't matter as they don't hold your address anyway, re the DVLA we were going to change the address to my parents....
