Re: Ferias this week on the Coasta Del Sol

The San Juan Feria in Benalmadena (next to Paloma Park) is from the 24th to the 29th of June. There are fireworks on the beach next to Bil Bil Castle on the night of the 23rd/24th (usually about...

Re: Classy restaurants Benalmadena

I am a little confused here. Are you thinking of 24-hour square next to McDonalds where several nightclubs and a shopping centre is located? Unless you are thinking about the Burger King next to the...

Re: Classy restaurants Benalmadena

Was it Pacino's that you went to? I ate there last year and I wasn't particularly impressed.

Re: Classy restaurants Benalmadena

What is that El Higueron restaurant next to the motorway like. I heard it's supposed to be something special. There should be some great views of the coast from there at the very least.

Re: Cheap Internal Flights in Spain

Clickair often do some really cheap flights from Alicante to Barcelona. It is usually better to book well in advance to get the best deals.

Re: Classy restaurants Benalmadena

It all depends on what your idea of a classy restaurant is I suppose. And I did suggest the marina.

Re: Classy restaurants Benalmadena

There's a good choice of excellent restaurants in the marina, but my personal favourite in Benalmadena, although not particularly classy, is the buffet-style Wok in Arroyo de la Miel (near the local...

Re: Have you seen this weeks Olive Press?

I haven't seen it for ages. You used to be able to pick it up at the tourist office in Torremolinos, but not any more. It's a shame because it's a great read.

Re: Bst place to go around Malaga?

I thought green fees were actually slightly less during the summer months, as fewer people want to play in the heat, although I may be wrong. It still seems very expensive though.

If you want a...

Clubs and Societies on the Costa del Sol.

Hi,

I am looking for information about clubs and societies on the Costa del Sol, especially those that are suitable for younger people.

I believe that there used to be a computer users' club...

Re: Costa Del Sol - Accomodation Request

Gibraltar seems to be one of those places that divides opinions. I like it! (but wouldn't want to live there).

Re: schools in benalmedena

Hi,

There's a couple that I know of in Benalmadena - Costa Kinder Care and the Peter Pan nursery in Arroyo de la Miel.

Re: Costa Del Sol - Accomodation Request

If a 426-metre high limestone rock rising out of the sea isn't visually exciting then I don't know what is.

Re: Accomodation in spain/ possible job?

Yes, I think rental prices have come down slightly during the past year, although you would expect to pay at least 500 euros for a 1 bed apartment in that part of Arroyo.

Re: English shops!

Why do so many people choose to go to English supermarkets in Spain? You can buy many of the products that they sell in the Spanish shops such as Supersol and Mercadona, and you don't have to pay...

Re: Accomodation in spain/ possible job?

Hi Libby,

Do you have any particular area in mind - Andalucia is a huge region. If you are looking to pay up to 350 euros for a 1 bed apartment, I think you can rule out most of the Costa del Sol.

Re: Moving to Arroyo de la Miel

There's also a bilingual nursery school on the edge of Arroyo, although I could not tell you if it's any good. The website is www.gpeterpan.com.

Re: Calle de las Gaviotas

I think it's known just as 'Las Gaviotas'. This area is situated around a very small square just off the main promenade, not too far from the marina. There are many bars here on two levels. I think,...
