Re: 401k/IRA/Roth - a sensible strategy for our circumstances?

Re: 401k/IRA/Roth - a sensible strategy for our circumstances?

I'm in a similar situation here. Not sure how long we'll be around in the US but no plans to actually move.

I max out my 401k fully (17K or whatever it is) - you can't beat a 100% return with the...

Re: European electrical goods

Additionally info - my UK TV is marked as HD Ready - that apparently means that the TV supports both 50Hz and 60Hz refresh rates (for video - not electric) for 1080i and 720p via HDMI or DVI. This...

Re: European electrical goods

I have moved 3 Samsung TV's I purchased in the UK and have had no problems using it with my cable provider in the US (Verizon FIOS) over the past 3 years.

All of the TV's are marked as 120/220V...

Re: Avoiding transaction fees and bad exchange rates

Xe.com (Custom House) does use ACH (Its similar to BACS in the UK). That's the reason I use XE rather than UK Forex for these transfers.

Hi

E&Y still do mine over here in the US. They get it wrong constantly. Not a year has gone by in 5 that they have not missed something.

You should file as dual status in the US. You will...

Hi - here is my take on all of this...

I live in NJ - so the taxes are not as bad as some of the areas you are looking into but still in the 15K region a year.

First they are tax deductible...

Re: Electricals - 4 prong 220v dryer outlet
