Re: "Fiddling temperature data is the biggest science scandal ever"

Probably by the time that I'm 100+ the Maunder Minimum will be kicking in again, this is the thing that caused the Thames to freeze a few hundred years ago and seems to come around about every...

Re: Free Cancer Screening - Low Takeup Rate

Plenty of medical scientists think that they can find a simple test which they will describe in simple English. The Israelis are doing very well at the moment, they have a very reliable test which...

Re: Free Cancer Screening - Low Takeup Rate

People with cancer can be just as stupid, they continue to eat and do all the wrong things.

I believe that the money spent on cancer research would be far more effective if it was spent on...

Re: Medibank share offer

I've been involved with a few privatisations and demutualisations, soon after prices went up and I sold, so glad I did because they started to slide soon after and most have never regained the...

Re: Malaysia

They were left with quite a good infrastructure when they got independence but it took them a few decades to realise that they had to look after it. A few other former colonies still haven't figured...

Re: Company directors

I always thought that the names and addresses of public company directors are a matter of public record and should be available to everyone. Many directors do give their office as their address, I...

Re: Canberra the best place to live, in the world's best country: OECD

That OECD report seems to be quite good especially if they've done a better job than our ABS, definitely worth a good look.

Shortly after I arrived in Australia during the 70s I went on a coach...

Re: Chemotherapy

Re: The US is not a democracy but an oligarchy, study concludes

Switzerland is the only democracy that I know of, all the rest are two party systems that co-operate to keep others out.

Re: Taking a Motorhome to Oz

Re: Vegan lifestyle

Many here seem to be more interested in losing weight rather than going on a vegan diet. There was a TV program "Eat, fast and live longer" on something called the 5:2 diet, it was designed as a...
