what sort of sleeping kit, and do you get the same sort of stoves with gas canisters for cooking and making brews? not sure what communication to go for - mobile phones any good province to province...

thanks that was very informative and quite an easy read. did not quite get the single driver sleeper chart for sleep time - 16hrs no driving after sleeper time?

looked at the trucking in the wiki, but not overly detailed, found a website which tells you about diff. regs ets in diff countries but not over informative. did a search for info on manitoba...

were fed up with 'is the house sold yet?' and have been sensible enough to tell the ones that will agree with what were doing but are leaving it untill we are going to tell the family that will...

thanks, that is really helpfull. was not also sure that it was free to take seats and buggies etc. we are flying transat, and have a britax seat, cant remember off hand the model but it is 9m +

what should we do? we could fly from toronto to winnipeg £600 for 2 of us, or we could fly to thunder bay (i want to visit here and drive through kenora), for only £300 both us. and drive the rest...

we found a great website was www.gov.mb.ca for all our research, has links to jobs, immigration trucking etc, some things are hard to find but you get there in the end. there was a link to a site...

me i will just be farm working, although maybe a bit of forestry / tree work. jim will the working one - trucking for a few years or so, until we find our feet
