From: now living with family until TWP arrives!!!

want to find out what people would have done diff. for the move out to canada, moving, jobs, houses, pets, money, etc.....

Would have just paid the money to take a container over off furniture/stuff. The fun soon wears off when you have to buy pans, tin openers, whisks, casserole dishes, towels, dishtowels, sheets (v. expensive over here compared to uk), ............................................

Exactly. I only know this because we plan to move back and we have a King Size bed which my OH refused to part with (he likes to sleep as far away from me as possible, without being in another room) so I'll have to stock up on bed sheets before we leave.

My bed is falling apart - due to excessive use by children and dogs may I just add - so will assign it to the dump when the time comes and buy new when we arrive

BTW OH is even more romantic at the minute he's sleeping in a bed in Japan

I would have applied immediately after the points were lowered to 67, as my girlfriend suggested; we'd have been much better off if I could have moved in 2005 rather than 2007!
I'd also have packed more of my stuff for shipping rather than leave it in my parents' house. There are odds and ends that would have been useful that I'll probably never bring over now.
