if you don't mind going into northern NSW, Broken Head caravan park, just south of Byron Bay is right on the beach, very quiet and surrounded by forest, it's about 2 hours drive south of Brissy

Hi,don't know what price range you are looking at, but Kea campers sell ex rental campers that are about 3 years old, They are VW 2.5l diesel, which go forever, and have a bed in the pop top roof...

Broken Head caravan park is a very nice place too. just south of Byron Bay. It is not a big caravan park, but is right on the beach. A bit late for your recent travels I suppose
