Steve, if you're already an australian permanent resident you are allowed to come and work in NZ without any other kind of visa. Just show your visa at the airport and they'll stamp your passport...

Simple: they were on CSL. The one that were not on CSL were left behind but now, after the new SOL, there are people who were not on CSL but are on SOL, so they are also priority as the rest of us,...

Without beeing absolutely 100% sure, you don't have to wait for SMP. You can convert your 175 to 176 because you're pre July 2010 by sending SS. When they receive SS and after SMP will be published,...

Yes, but this is because you applied prior to July 2010. Don't give erroneous advices. On the website it clearly states that when you apply you have to have the sponsorship. A lot of things were...

Ok. 175 visa gone today with no time to spare. tomorrow I turn 30 and I wouldn't have been able to gather 120 points.

But it's OK now. Hoping for the best both in result and processing times.

While you may be able to apply for 175 if you have a skill that is in Schedule 2, you will NOT be able to convert 175 to 176 because new regulations say that you HAVE to have the State Sponsorship...
