I concur with this 100%. Work on this as your general approach, it is effectively where the rate was only a few years ago and the price of goods(except new German cars) pretty much reflects it.

Depends what you want from life.

For me, happy with Melbourne with Taz to the south, Mountains to the north east, Coastal and forrests to the West, Beaches to the south east. And lots of space...

Lots and lots of patience.

It can take a long time to get a visa and you should let it progress in the background and not be on your mind all the time.
