well, after a slow and quite leisurely visa application...on our side not diac, we have been granted our visas (s.s.176) :thumbsup:
however it was all a little anti-climatic! just an ordinary email...

we're doing it all ourselves, and i have to say haven't found it too horrendous at all :)
the immigration department site has loads of info on and are really helpful if you phone them and i've found...

hiya, we applied (and got!) our s.a sponsorship. they didn't ask for any proof of available funds, in fact on the original form i said we had no available money but only house equity, they emailed me...
