Question Any self employed electricians out there?!?!

My OH is a self employed electrician and we are about to begin the Vetasses paper based assessment. It's difficult to find evidence / proof of past jobs that he has worked on since being a sub-contractor.
Just wondered if anyone could offer ideas of what types of proof or evidence you used for your application?
Any advice / suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Abi & Dave

Hi, my OH is a self employed spark and has been for years. We aproached people who he had done jobs for and also an employer who he had worked for 5 years ago for references. As long as you can send proof of your accounts and any suppliers you use you should be ok. We are using an agent and have sent off everything we had which they have said is all ok. I took us ages to get things together but at least it is done now. Good Luck.

Thanks for that, it's good to hear from someone who has done it successfully! Just plodding through the VETASSES forms so should be ready to send off soon. He has managed to get references from agencies he has worked for over the years and also the company where he did his apprenticeship so think we have everything covered now.
Thanks again,
Abi

hi there, we've also done the vetassess process. we decided that we would send as much as info as possible, from things like his business card, photos of the sign written van, photos of Rob on various jobs, wholesaler statements, and we had few references so did a brief work history detailing the major types of work. As wendy and stevo have said the sparkies forum is the place to find answers
good luck with it all
