Re: Groceries

That made me look at Tesco. £3.25 for the flat ones and £2.50 for the pud ones.
On Amazon Canada they are $15 (£9) and up (plus delivery) but at least they are both about the same price. Last tine I...

Re: Have I Been Scammed?

Is there anything handy on the website confirming order completed part to suggest there's a report a problem feature?
If not, it might be worth using the email at the bottom of the site -...

Re: Groceries

For anyone craving the occasional Brit food - chip shop curry sauce mix, Fray Bentos tinned pies, different cup-a-soup options and so on that you might not get at your local stores, you might take a...

Re: The next election

I think you're right, Troudeau will be toast.
But it's either worrying that PP continues to associate with these types and is admired by Alex Jones without any attempt at dissociating himself, or...

Re: The next election

When you say Trudeau you also mean US Department of State's Bureau of Counterterrorism, the RCMP, Canada's House of Commons.

Re: Wise.com - New verification Process

 How did I miss that first time around?

Does the post count even if lights are not visible? How about bicycles; does the rider count even if there's no visible part of the bike? And...

Re: Double taxation

That's quite a depressing thought and possibly indicative of problems with the current set up. I wonder if the call centre people are just employed on the phone lines with little real experience.

Re: Double taxation

That completely contradicts my experience last year.
I did exactly as you hoped. I even asked the Pensions office if they could delay the payment to make sure the form got to them ahead of time to...

Re: Wise.com - New verification Process

Does navigating away include opening a new tab - is there an equivalent for that on a phone?
There's no consistency on bank sites sometimes. I'm familiar with a back button on the site itself taking...

Re: Double taxation

I honestly don't remember Q5 and 6 but I'd say the answer at Q2 (2004 for me, 2007 for you) means Q5 falls because you didn't leave the UK in the current tax year - but marking NO wouldn't do any...

Re: Double taxation

I have recently done exactly this.

It all sounds very easy. And it probably is...or should be.

I sent my form off to CRA with a covering letter asking them to do it. I only included the part of...

Re: Wise.com - New verification Process

The simple solution would seem to be a different email address to register.

I can't help thinking of those reviews you sometimes see about products where the "damning criticism" is nothing to do...

Re: Hudson's Bay in Toronto, business hours?

Last winter there was some discussion on Reddit about the store having "winter hours" so perhaps something more usual any day now.

Re: Solar eclipse 2024

It was like some of those time lapse things you see.
Like the sun lowering, getting dark and then sun rising.

Except it was a funny sort of light and dark. Not "night" dark and I could still make...

You're asking in the right place. And the right answer you'll get from about 90% of us will be Wise. (Transferwise)

I have absolutely no idea how it works but I would imagine something like that only changes if some aspect of residency changes.
