Guessing your wife is a kiwi?

So with double descent (my kid is too!) you can apply if you provide proof that your parent(s) were born in the UK. You can get a copy of their birth certificates...

I would not recommend Taiwan for university study at all. It's cheap, and communal, but that's about the only thing it's got going for...

Depends how young is young and how dumb she is too!

Taiwan's usually pretty safe, but you do need to keep common sense about you. I wandered around all over the place solo at 21 and was fine.

Mandarin ^_^ Not fully fluent all over, but my conversations are pretty fluent and my accent swings towards Taiwanese Mandarin (rather than how the kids at UQ speak - couldn't fool anyone, ever). ...

Always insult Poms etc. but don't count it as discrimination or offensive because well... we're English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish/Polish... you're supposed to insult...
