- No

- Yeah, alright. I like I'd live there.

- bit backwards, getting HUGELY busy with lots of new estates and shops etc., nice place to live actually but bad rep. Grandparents live there and enjoy it. Lots of Samoans, so lots of singing in the park too.

- Really nice for bayside living, watch out for the sanflies. the markets are great. Mostly only go there to get ferries to the islands, I'd personally go for Redcliffe - Redcliffe's completely established, they're still building HEAPS of crap around Cleveland

- Where's that?

hi there ... we live in Cleveland ... all the bay suburbs from Birkdale, Wellington Point, Ormiston, Cleveland are ok .. all are on direct train line into CBD which is a pretty good service ... W/Point and Cleveland have a wide range of shops / bars / restaurants ... there's some crime but less than average, think there's pretty good schools but no first hand experience on that one ... it's also a couple of degrees cooler being near the bay ... lots of good housing at varying price levels ... you pays for what you get ... but it is generally a tad more expensive than out west.

We live more or less on the bay and have not been troubled by sandflies, mossies or any other annoying insects despite having woods / mangroves behind us ... lots of other willife close by though ... koalas, possums, and all manner of noisy birds.

South from Cleveland Thornlands and Victoria Point are also ok ... good entertainment / shopping centre at Vicki Point but no train service ... but it's a bit cheaper for housing

Hope that helps ... David

Samford lovely, quite well to do. Lots of extremely large houses on acres and acres of land.

The sandflies must be a rumour spread by you lot to keep the rest of us out then Cause I'm pretty sure almost everyone up here thinks there are sandflies in Cleveland! lol

There's lots of building if you go down Mt Gravatt - Capalaba Rd towards Thorneside Stupid little podgy terraced/semi-detached houses....... in developments....... 2m away from the neighbour's house....... in the middle of the bush!

Hang on, are you talking about Thorneside or Thornlands? We live close to Thorneside and Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Rd is quite far from us.

no idea XD I think it's Thornside - from here (Sunnybank/Mt Gravatt) you go down MTG - C Rd and then turn left and then somewhere else and there's this road that used to wind through all of thise bushland... .which has now turned into about 6 estates and a massive woolworths O.o;

(Yes, I know i give descriptive directions. i don't drive yet, so if it's not walking distance, I can't get there sorry!)

No, it's a Thorn-suburb. Wakerley might be on the way though.

a - its ipswich, im not keen on it, it does get hotter out thewre in summer, is drier than brizzy, and gets cooler in winter. Is inhabited by some boganesque ppl, in some of its suburbs. However, there are some good areas, steer clear of Feral Park

b- redcliffe, dodgy area, with ford driving truck drivers.

c- d-bay, set to have a refit. Cheap housing, close to sea, affordable but its like Ipswich with sea views.

d- cleveland, bobby lives there. So on the days hes at meets its a nice burb, on the days hes at home, it wreaks of piss ( alcohol )

e- samford, not far from me. Prefer warner, and where we live dayboro. Samford actually comprises the most ridiculous estate in australia, called royal estate, full of back to back mcmansionesque houses akin to coronation st, with bev hills prices. Samford does boast a great pub/steak house.

I have always rated Narangba.

Nice place, nice area, albeit there is speculation of some dodgy chemical warfare plant up magnesium drive.
Possibly also worth considering , Morayfield. Some parts are lovely, specially where Scotvness lives off here, very leafy and acreage homes, some great shopping, but also some bad(der) areas, like Mellino Drive etc..
