I would read the 1st book now - but stop at that - it may give you more insights into the characters - but as one who read all the books a few years ago I think the series has been very good.

But there are exceptions - the Red Sox have a very large away following.

Be interesting to see how many away fans there are in the average NFL game - compared to the 2000-4000 away fans that...
