Re: any poms moved to oz and consider themselves aussie now?

I guess we are now supposed to start debating whether or not England is the greatest country on earth?

And the the homesick people...

Re: is bullshit part of aussie culture?

My partner and I couldn't agree more. As Aussies, we loved our year working in UK workplaces.

It's one the biggest reasons why we plan on heading back there next year. Not only does management...

Re: Gold Coast - the good, the bad and the ugly?

Re: Anyone from N Ireland Migrating

Brisvegas123, How are you liking Manly? Have you experienced a Brissy summer yet? It probably won't be too bad out there as you'll get the breezes.

I remember ending up out at Manly one night...

Re: is bullshit part of aussie culture?

I've grown up in AUS all my life, I've worked in quite a few places in 3 states and only one employer has ever tried to "include" super on the advertised salary. They were a greedy accounting firm in...

Re: is bullshit part of aussie culture?

I remember when I started a job in Aus and it came to the first pay day. From first glance of my pay slip I noticed I had grossed about 10% less than what it should be.

After further investigation...

Re: How much did you pay for your car in Oz?

It's amazing the difference in price between buying a used car in the UK compared to Aus.

Why are they so much more in Aus?

Re: Anyone from N Ireland Migrating

Re: Anyone from N Ireland Migrating

Hiya, sorry to hijack your thread Northern Irelanders.

There not being a NI section to this forum, I thought I would ask a question here if you don't mind regarding NI.

Next year I'm making the...

Re: Short term rent in Sydney

When you arrive, If you can spare the cash upfront try offering 3-6 months rent in advance, show a rental reference from the Uk and ID. . Most landlords would not turn this down.
