Question Perth Airport Customs

I read most threads about some stuff that cant take into Australia but what about:
1-canned food ex. tuna , stew and cooked canned rice?
2-blanket and mattress?
3-dried vegetables?

As of my friend said in Melbourne, they've couldn't find any flat coz OZ owners prefer previous OZ settled ones and they are stayed in a hotel even after 2 weeks. I really want to know is this true...

My wife is a Maths teacher and she ahs BS in Applied Maths . Is there any related job (Not teaching which I know should spend time for assessment and get a new university degree to become a teacher...
