Re: £100k Buying a car, ship it to Oz, sell it for Oz dollars?

I know a guy who works for Aston Martin in Aus, having come over here from the UK. My belief is that the price difference in luxury cars is just another example of Aussie price discrimination in a...

Talking Re: LAFHA under threat

I used to get LAFHA. As other people have mentioned, if you have a family on a 457 and live in NSW then it's not clear just how beneficial it is. It's not just issues related to school fees, overseas...

Re: police certificates

I assume you mean UK police checks? We had a problem in that the migration agent sent us out of date UK police check forms so had to re submit. Got delayed again as we'd moved house at the same...

Re: Air Fares to UK - why so expensive?

If you know you'll travel at least once a year then it might be worthwhile buying upfront a one way to UK and then a return from UK-Aus. Make sure the Aus-UK return portion is booked as far as...

The US retailer...

Re: Flying with children

I, too, recommend Singapore Air and a Singapore stop-over. The first time I did it with OH and 3.5 yr old and we stayed at Rasa Sentosa. Bear in mind the humidity!
