another thing you may want to look at is changing your birth certificate to your married name. i had to do this in 2007 and was in the same situation as you.i.e born in oz, lived in uk since 3 years...

They would sell the house and you would be liable for the shortfall between mortgage (including interest and fees) and price it sells for, which would probably mean you would end up owing them a fair...

Thought I would just add my experience. My daughter is 16 and will be 17 when we hopefully leave for aus. She said similar to me that she would rather stay in UK because of friends and a boyfriend....

Hi I think if you get a move on you should have the change of name certificate back in time. Mine took approx 4 weeks but this was to BDM in Vic, maybe Queensland times will be different? I think...
