I also agree, don´t forget you can employ a bi-lingual Portuguese person to help with communication be a receptionist etc. Lots of younger people speak good English here. Go for it:thumbup:

correct me if I am wrong but I think it is valid for 5 years as long as your passport is valid for the same period, so if you are due to renew your passport do it before you apply for your residency.

the cheapest way to do it is to hire a van yourself and hire a container and load it yourself and then have it shipped, total cost should be around 1.5k for a three bed house, good luck

roughly how much do P&Ds charge per day in Portugal? I know its difficult to estimate as most would price a whole job I guess?
