It's a beautiful area, although it is cut off from Upper Hutt slightly, it is rural you have to drive over the hill to get to it, for primary schools look at mangaroa primary and also Pinehaven...

Strange thing, I always could never say that I prefer nz or uk even after nearly 6 years or so I thought........
Just discovered that dad needs a shoulder op, now at 68 he isn't getting any younger,...

Yep sun hat has to be wider brimmed or cover ears n necks, if you send your child to school without one in terms 4 and 1 then they will not be allowed outside

Hi with it being the last term of the year they won't ask you to provide any books probably just pencils, when we arrived aug 08 we didn't have to provide any stationary until the start of the new...

Graham and brown UK site deliver wall paper to nz and there's no tax or customs this end on wallpaper:-) we get all our decorating needs from there and get it delivered usually within a week:-)

No, if anything it's the opposite, I saw a lot of kids at the zoo yesterday that were part of big families and that probably would not ordinarily be able to all afford to go together at the same time.

Children's day today.

Thought I would post that because its children's day today in nz there are a lot of cheap or free things for kids around the country to do today, although adults you still have to pay at most...

A bit naughty but.... Go into one of the quieter sores like a kiosk in the mall, say you we're in the store on the date of the ticket, but you forgot to get a receipt and you need one for work for...

i live in silverstream and we have a great toddler group at dunn street thurs 10 am till 11.30, its great there are a few of us english mums there, my little girl is 21 months and my other friends...

we decided on bailey, shes so well behaved a absolute pleasure to be around:) ill try to add a picture, shes 3 hours old on the pic, hospital allowed me home 2 hours after birth which was great.

quick update, our lovely little baby girl arrived on sat 04.09.2010 ( day of the quake ) weighing in at 9lb exactly shes just perfect will post more and some pics when i get chance,, goodluck mrs rob...

i have had 3 failed sweeps so they will induce at 42 weeks:) oh is hoping it appears on sunday (fathers day in nz)
