No it means the system is poor why on earth would it take 4 to 5 years for a visa to process?This place needs professional people but they go through so much crap to get here and stay its not worth...

my advice from my experience coming to Australia try not to come on a 457 visa your better trying to come on a more permenant visa.And your trade will get you a job but not easy out here so do plenty...

457 is a quick option but can leave you very isolated if problems with work and health occur.i came over and added the family but if given the chance again would choose another :(visa.
