Make sure you hand in that form without agent's signature asap after the keys are dropped.
Video the premises after your stuff is removed and get friends or neighbours to witness the condition....

There are 3 types of police checks in Germany, the one you are after is called "erweitertes Fuehrungszeugnis". You need a written statement of your employer (club etc) in order to apply for it.

If you can get a decent rental in Woodlands: go for that one! It's a beautiful, peaceful suburb. Some more pluses:
- good access to schools (within catchment of churchland sh)

you can never be sure what's going to happen at the quarantine inspection.

We arrived in Sydney via South Africa/Swaziland and had no probs at all although all our stuff was covered...

I think there can be a couple of reasons.
1. No job when we applied to the first
2. No Australian Lease References
3. Offered not enough rent in advance (You have to pay only 2 weeks...

It might take a while.:) We applied for a 136 in Dec06, frontloaded PCC with appl. and meds in Feb07 (unrequested), got our visa 2 weeks ago. :thumbsup:
