You have to apply for Tourist visa for England. Its easy and simple. Or else you will be sent back home (U.S.) if you dont have one. Depends though if you have a European country passport (EU Visa)...

I suggest you dont leave until you get a Stamp in your passport. Advance Parole does not guarantee that you will be able to enter back to U.S.

I dont understand why people leave? If it's emergency...
