Another hurdle, since you are soon to graduate, the latest educational requirments for C.Eng now require an M.Eng qualification. So you are not likely to qualify for P.Eng in Canada on that basis.

I would say it's definitley beneficial to have your P.Eng, especially if your working in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical etc. Most job advertisments for these sectors specify "P.Eng or eligble for...

I've found from experience that the biggest hurdle for foreign trained engineers is recognition of their engineering credentials. If they are not accepted then there is a lengthy and costly process...

As long as your UK degree is recognized by the UK Engineering Council as meeting the requirments for C.Eng qualifications then you should find the process fairly easy.

I think you're right CO, the OP still has to wait 5 years after completion of sentence to apply for rehabilitation. The only difference I can see is that for +10 years, you are not automatically...

They can, but the reciprical agreement can only come into effect if your are issued a CCJ in UK before you come to Canada.

A lot of the time, this doesn't happen, and is sold to a debt collection...

A judement would be nearly impossible to enforce in Canada if (a) you have a foreign address, (b) your were never issued a summons. In fact, a civil court in the UK would not issue a summons to a...
