Another option is shared ownership, although I don't know if this option is available in all areas.

I've been back in UK for 7 weeks now. I gave up EVERYTHING to go to Aus. House, career, long term relationship, I had a rather large workshop in the garage...

I was in Aus 4 months, couldn't find work at all. This wasn't the only reason I came back to the UK, but it was a factor. I spent years in the RAF as an aircraft...

Biggest con going. I couldn't belive it when I took my car to the dealer. I paid $21k and got offered $15k on a Friday. I rang the guy back on the following Monday and he said the offer had dropped...

I e-mailed the SIA office here in Adelaide and they said it was only 20kg, I did tell them I was moving back permanently, still got no sympathy....ho hum!

My main loss is the car, I paid around $1800 for the flight back inc. insurance, shipping the boxes back will cost just over half what it cost...
