OK so I am bored, heres the thing, would not normally post anything like this but feeling brave today.

Why do people come on to this forum if they are blissfully happy in their chosen country?????

I did not come on here and post before we got here....I did come on here to read up on the views of people that were not happy, to see if their issues were important to my state of mind......but not to post!

The point is I only came on here to post when things got to bad and wanted to go back and needed support of you lot and guidence, which I have got by the bucket load thankyou.

So why do people feel the need to come on here and rubbish us lot that dont like it here.

If we dont like it here, why does it bother them so much??

Because the ones who come on here and slate the people that are unhappy are very small minded and pathetic, just because they hate the UK they believe that they have the right to tell everyone else that they are utterly stupid for even contemplating returning there!

Tbh they just need to grow up.

I think some people just actually enjoy 'winding people up', and they come in here to achieve exactly that!
But if thats how they get their kicks, some of them must have very sad lives!

I could name afew who like to come in here and slag us off. But i won't name them (they know who they are anyway), one lives round the corner from me.

He always defends Perth and hates anyone who slags it off. Tough mate.

Its not really worth bothering answering posts if they're obviously written by bored knobbies out to stir & be antagostic etc, especially people who havent got here yet.
Reckon sometimes people are probably cacking themselves after reading the mbtuk forum, kind of paints a very different picture of it here. Some probably reflect peoples insecurities bout the whole move...
Be interesting to know how many people who do the big bla bla bla.....actually end up feeling the same.

hey i'm happy in the USA! and i'm also happy with the UK. i lived in camden town london, great place, dodgy but had such an eccentric character. also lived in a peaceful little town called alford, has a very english summer festival every year. alford, btw, doesn't have an active police station! it's a peaceful english paradise, almost zero crime. actually the adventurer, john smith, was born there. this forum is mainly to help folk adjust to their new country. i'm sure that everyone whom posts just wants to be with other brits (virtually) and so let vent etc.

Some people are happy with their life in oz, have no intention of winding others up, but are happy to offer words of encouragement to others who are in a similar situation to themselves, or show some empathy to those who are going through the same process as we all did. Another good reason for coming onto this site is to build networks of friends and acquaintances.

I'll agree that some people come online to wind people up, but that probably goes both ways. I don't think there's any right or wrong with whether Aus will work for one person or another, have friends that like it, and friends that don't. Just because I'm happy with my lot over here, doesn't make me small minded, doesn't make me hate the UK, and doesn't me make try to wind people up because they're not happy.

I usually stick to the general forums, where banter is rife, and go to the Aus forums once in a while to see if there's anything specific I can join in with.

The threads such as UK v OZ have no interest for me....I use the forums for a laugh and a wind down, rather than a battle and a wind up.

Yes, I would rather use the forums for info and support and offer support if I can in any way.

I just dont get the idiots that have no interest in doing either of those things, posting just to offend genuine people that need help and to generally have a chat with like minded people.

In an ideal world, this is what the forums would be used for, but unfortunately, there are a small, but particularly vocal number of people who use sites like this one simply to bait others.

Saying that, my advice is usually to just blank people that wind you up, cos if you rise to the bait then they're winning.

Yes I agree with that, this thread was just commenting on the people who come in here just to have a go at the people who are or wanting to return to the UK. They are usually people who have never lived in Oz etc.

People like you who love Oz and dont need to slate other people for returning are more than welcome here!

Actually, it started about people who post on BE who like oz and why they would do so, but then it moved on a bit.
