If their unit is based in the UK, you will be able to send it to there as you only need a british postal address, the post room there will still be manned and should redirect it on to the squaddie in...

thanks for the info so far, to clear things (as best i can) up a bit, It is an immigrant visa (F-4 is on the paperwork) for a sibling sponsored visa.
On the original paper work we had an expiry...
